From quick coffee runs to full meals with friends, eating at the University of Edinburgh is easy

If you’re living in catered accommodation at Pollock Halls, you’ll get regular meals included, served at the JMCC Restaurant. Your on-campus local, Arthur’s, is also right on your doorstep.

We have a range of University-run cafés and restaurants across the University and a 3-star rating in the Sustainable Restaurant Association's Food Made Good Standard, regarded the Michelin Stars of sustainability.

Pollock Halls catered accommodation

The John McIntyre Conference Centre (JMCC) Restaurant is the main food hub on Pollock Halls campus where students in catered accommodation get their meals. We provide breakfast and dinner five days a week, with brunch and dinner served at weekends.

Our menus rotate on a four-week cycle, using local suppliers to ensure we offer the very best range of high-quality, appetising, healthy and nutritious food. There are also regular theme nights showcasing a variety of international cuisines.

Catered accommodation meal times

  • Breakfast: Monday – Friday, 07:15-10:30

  • Brunch: Saturday – Sunday, 10:30-13:30

  • Dinner: Monday – Sunday, 17:00-20:00

Arthur’s is right on your doorstep in the JMCC at Pollock Halls. Drop in for barista-made coffee, pub classics, freshly made pizzas and burgers, or cold draught beer, wine, or cocktail.

We’ve got two big screens showing major live sport, live music, open mic nights, quiz nights, social events, a PS5, and loads of board games.
