Mylnes Court is part of a truly impressive and historic building on the famous Royal Mile, near to the Castle and overlooking Princes Street. It is a bustling and lively location, popular with tourist hotspots and street performances in the heart of historic Edinburgh. It consists of 3 traditional halls (Patrick Geddes, Philip Henman and Edward Salvesen) housing a total of 176 postgraduate students in self-catered flats.

All study bedrooms are equipped with the following furniture:

Duvets, blankets, pillows, bed linen, mattress protectors and towels are not provided. You will, therefore, need to supply these items yourself.
Bedding packs, comprising of a sheet, duvet, duvet cover, pillow and pillowcase (does not include a mattress protector) can be purchased from the University (at an additional cost) using the order form link in your offer details. However, these packs are only available to students at beginning of lease.
You will share shower, bath and WC with your flatmates.
Couple flats have one bathroom, with shower over bath, WC and sink.
Three person flats typically have one shower room with shower cubicle, WC and sink
Five person flat typically have either:
Two shower rooms with a shower cubicle, WC and sink, or one shower room (shower cubicle only) , one shower room with shower cubicle, WC and sink and one WC only.
One of the five person flats has only one shower room with shower cubicle, WC and sink and one WC only.
There is one large common room which consists of seating area, pool table, air hockey, table tennis, piano, TV room with DVD and sofas.
This is self-catered accommodation and kitchens are equipped with the following items:
- Four-ring electric cooker with oven and grill
- Set of three saucepans, frying pan and chopping board
- Vacuum cleaner
- Dish drainer and pail
- Sweeping brush, mop and shovel
- Ironing board (no iron)
- Crockery and cutlery are not provided.
Students have access to coin-operated, onsite laundry facilities.
Cleaning and housekeeping
Staff will visit your flat weekly and assist you in keeping common areas clean (kitchens, bathrooms, halls and stairs).
We will visit en-suite shower rooms fortnightly to assist in cleaning these areas too.
Residents should clear excess rubbish and remove all recycling to the designated areas, they are also responsible for keeping their own bedrooms clean.
Please note that all of our accommodation is non-smoking, this includes e-cigarettes.
All utility bills included - there is an average allowance of electricity but overuse can result in additional charges.
High speed wireless internet is available throughout the property and each bedroom has a data outlet for a wired connection.
