Furnishings
All study bedrooms are equipped with the following furniture:
- Standard single bed
- Small chest of drawers
- Desk and study chair
- Over desk light
- Storage seat
- Shelving/storage
- Wardrobe (with personal safe)
- Pin-board
- Mirror
- Wash hand basin (shared bathroom facility rooms only)
- Most rooms are carpeted flooring, a small number have rubber flooring
Bedding

Bedding is NOT included in your rent.
Bathrooms
- Most rooms are en-suite and have a shower, WC and wash hand basin.
- However 15 rooms are not en-suite and will share bathroom facilities as follows:
- Facilities are split female/male only. Each female/male room has four shower cubicles, three WC cubicles and two wash hand basins.
Communal facilities and services
Common Rooms
There is one large common room at John Burnett, this is furnished with soft seating, tables, table football and TV.
Pantries
The communal pantries have snack preparation areas and are equipped with the following items:
- Iron and ironing board
- Fridge
- Microwave
- Toaster
- Kettle
The pantries are furnished with dining table, stools and fitted seating.
Laundry
John Burnett House has access to communal pay as you go, laundry facilities.
Cleaning and housekeeping
- It is your responsibility to keep your bedroom including en-suite / wash hand basin clean
& tidy. - It is the joint responsibility of all residents to keep the pantry, common room and any other communal areas clean and tidy.
- Residents should clear rubbish and remove all recycling to the designated areas from bedrooms.
- Staff will visit communal areas and 4th floor shared bathrooms & showers regularly to assist you in keeping these areas clean.
Please note that all of our accommodation is non-smoking, this includes e-cigarettes.
