Baird has 167 single bedrooms, shared bathroom facilities, shared pantries and a large common room.

Communal facilities

There are three shower rooms with a sink and toilet, and one bathroom with a bath, sink and toilet, per 18 students in each wing of the building.

Students have access to each wing of the building.

There is one large common room at Baird House, with soft seating, tables and a TV.

The communal pantries have snack preparation areas and are equipped with the following items:

  • Iron and ironing board

  • Fridge

  • Microwave

  • Toaster

  • Kettle

The pantries are furnished with sofas, coffee tables, and stools.

Residents are responsible for keeping their own bedroom clean and tidy.

It is the joint responsibility of all residents to keep the pantry, common room, and any other communal areas clean and tidy.

Residents should clear rubbish and remove all recycling to the designated areas.

Staff will visit communal areas regularly to assist you in keeping these areas clean.
