Dr. Catherine Heymans is a Reader in Astrophysics at the Institute for Astronomy within the University of Edinburgh, based at the Royal Observatory. She currently holds a European Research Council Starting Grant Fellowship and is a member of the Young Academy of Scotland.
Her research focusses on cosmology, specifically making detailed observations of the Dark Universe. She co-leads the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope Lensing Survey (CFHTLenS) and the weak lensing team for ESO the Kilo-Degree Survey (KiDS).
