“The Café” opened in 2018 following an extensive refurbishment of the former catering restaurant “ECAfe” within Edinburgh College of Art. The first significant investment in catering at ECA since the merger with the University in 2011, an exciting new integrated dining, study and relaxation space has been created which is also open to staff and students as a multi-use space when the café is closed.
“The Café” through the use of simple tile, wood, and concrete provides a very clean, Scandinavian style of environment as well as providing a range of different seating configurations suitable for both dining, socialising and both individual and group collaborative study.
The extensive menu focuses on offering the best produce from Scotland and the UK while providing you with a variety of choices. Order from the hot counter and all plates will be delivered to your table or choose from the “Grab and Go” counter if you are in a hurry.
In addition to an extensive range of fully ground 100% Arabica coffees and organic fair trade teas, for breakfast choices look for our wide range of pancakes topped with a regular changing range of toppings, or perhaps French toast with banana and yogurt is your preferred choice to start the day.
