Do you need accommodation for next year?
As you are aware, your current lease is due to expire at the beginning of September. If you are continuing to study for the full academic year then you can renew your accommodation contract in either your existing room or in a different Postgraduate location.
How do I request a Renewal?
If you would like to renew your accommodation all you need to do is follow the steps below, this will only take a few minutes:
- Log into: www.myed.ed.ac.uk
- Click: Services
- Click: Launch Accommodation Hub
- Click: Current Academic year
- Click: Accommodation Renewal and follow the steps.
How do I know if I am eligible to stay in University Accommodation next year?
All Postgraduate students who are studying full time for the next full academic year are able to renew in our accommodation.
Please note: Students who are staying in David Horn or Kitchener House will not be able to renew in their current room but can move to another Postgraduate block. David Horn House and Kitchener House are not available to Postgraduate students in 2017-18.
If I want to change rooms when will I be told if I am successful?
If you have asked to move room or location we will do our best to allocate you the room or location you have requested but priority must be given to the student who is currently staying in the accommodation.
If we have more than 1 new request from students who want to move into a specific room then we will allocate depending on the application date.
