Pre-Sessional Students 2021
The University of Edinburgh provides accommodation for students who are studying a pre-sessional English course.
If you are travelling to Scotland from outside the Common Travel area there are different arrangements for your arrival depending on the countries you have been in the 10 days before arriving in Scotland and whether those countries are on the red, amber or green list.
All travel advice and information about quarantine and self-isolation can be found here: Travel advice | The University of Edinburgh
If you are arriving from a country listed on the Amber list and therefore need to self-isolate on arrival into Edinburgh, you will be provided with accommodation in Pollock Halls of Residence for the period of your isolation. The cost is £24 per day for a single en suite room which includes all heating, electricity and internet services. You will be supported during your self-isolation period and will receive three meals a day delivered to your door as well as support from our Residence Life Team. This will be included in your rent, there will be no additional charge for self-isolation meals.
We will be able to offer you a room for your self-isolation period from the 25th July. If you need to arrive earlier than this date please get in touch with the Student Allocations team to discuss your requirements, you can e-mail them on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once your period of self-isolation is complete you will be able to move into your term-time accommodation.
Full payment at the time of acceptance is required for all pre-sessional accommodation.
