Families
The University has in total around 65 flats suitable for families. The accommodation is in self-contained flats, with two to four bedrooms. About 70% of these flats are located at Blacket Avenue, adjacent to Pollock Halls.

Private Accommodation
In addition to University accommodation, there is also a very large amount of privately-rented accommodation available in Edinburgh. Given time, you should be able to find something suitable for you and your family.
As the temporary accommodation, you will need while looking for a place to stay can be quite expensive, we strongly recommend that students with families come to Edinburgh alone in the first instance, and send for their partner and children only when suitable housing has been obtained.
The Advice Place website (run by the Edinburgh University Student's Association or ‘EUSA’) has a range of useful information, including advice on different neighbourhoods in Edinburgh, tenancy issues, landlord issues and tips on flat-hunting. You can find further information by accessing the EUSA website, via the link below.
