According to the WWF, "Biological diversity – or biodiversity – is the term given to the variety of life on Earth. It is the variety within and between all species of plants, animals and micro-organisms and the ecosystems within which they live and interact."

At ACE we try to encourage biodiversity  through our landscaping of different type of flora and fauna and through projects such as the Pollock Halls apirary.

We are very proud of the grounds at Pollock Halls which in 2015 were awarded:

  • "Beautiful Scotland" Edinburgh in Bloom winner of the City Category in conjunction with the Edinburgh City Council
  • The discretionary RHS Britain in Bloom, Sustainable Landscaping award for the Pollock Halls Campus.

Some of the pictures below illustrate why our grounds were selected for the awards.
