University studies take a lot of time and effort. Students can become less physically active during this time as they spend nights watching movies and sitting for hours at a time in front of a computer and books. Unfortunately, being inactive is not limited just to first year students but part of being a successful student is ensuring that you remain healthy and active, ResLife are here to help.
Taking part in Athletic and Sport events doesn't necessarily need to be hard work. These events are hosted to provide fun ways for you to stay active. Don't worry if you're not the most athletic person, sporting events need supporters and we look forward to having you come cheer your local team to victory! Some events even offer prizes for the most vocal fan or best dressed supporter.
Typical athletic and sport events:
- Early morning runs at Arthur's Seat
- Pollock Halls relay
- Trips to the rugby
- Pollock Supercup
- Bicycle trips to Ratho and Musselburgh
- Weekly flat/house football matches
- Ice skating
